Non-Profit Organization no. 58-031-180-1
The Ashdod Anti-Drug Authority is a (non-profit) municipal organization founded by the City of Ashdod in order to promote municipal activities in the fight against drugs and violence.
The Authority has a board of directors headed by the Deputy Mayor and consisting of 7 board members.
The Authority is supported by the City of Ashdod, government ministries, and contributions.
The Authority’s strategic operations focus on four main areas:
* Prevention, education, and information
* Treatment and rehabilitation of drug addicts
* Enhancing enforcement and involving the community in the struggle against drug dealers
The economic plan implemented by the current government has been extremely disruptive to welfare and health programs and has significantly reduced the budgets provided by government ministries.
